7 Unique Travel Destinations to Visit in 2026 (Before Everyone Else Does)

Are you running out of world to see and need some inspiration? Sick of Spain and Italy popping up on your feed non-stop? So am I. Here are 7 off-the-beaten-path destinations for you to chase this 2026. Make it memorable, make it wild.

1. Fès, Morocco

A Cultural Visit to The Past.

My father was born in Fes and he used to tell me that it was a “nothing little village” with no electricity. But now? It’s an up and coming tourist hot spot as people start to avoid the overcrowded Marrakech.

Fes is a car-free city, deeply rooted in the past. It’s also a foodie haven offering cultural dishes (some I even grew up eating) like: Pastilla, Tagine and Harira soup.  It’s a much more authentic experience that will allow you to truly sink into the Moroccan way of life. This is a destination for the hardcore traveler.

2. Oman

Not Just a Visa Run for Dubai Expats:

More than just a visa run for Dubai based Expats, Oman is attracting serious attention. Go to Oman if you want to see unique sites like Wadi Shab, a stunning canyon with turquoise pools, waterfalls, and hiking trails.

Or  the Muscat Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, an architectural masterpiece with a swarovski chandelier and Omani design. You can drive to Oman in under an hour from Dubai, making it the perfect add on to your visit to the UAE.

3.Montenegro

The Perfect Alternative to Greece:

Give the expensive Greek islands a skip and head over to Montenegro instead! It sits on the Adriatic coast with dramatic mountains and picturesque lakes and rivers. Most tourists will flock to places like Croatia, Italy or Spain. But why do that when you can get the same views in Montenegro and perfected nature in a country with a lot less busyness?

Montenegro is just as exciting as its famous neighbors. National parks, world class beaches, medieval castles and UNESCO World Heritage sites makes this destination ultra desirable (and way more affordable). Go before everyone else catches on.

4.Zanzibar

East Africa’s Luxurious Beach Destination:

I can’t wait to finally check out Zanzibar this May. What a unique blend of island vibes with East African heritage. Long stretches of beach, impossibly white sand and turquoise waters makes it a relaxing destination…that not everyone can get to.

Off the coast of Tanzania, sitting on the Indian Ocean, it’s not the easiest place to get to. But it’s worth it. African beaches are mind blowing-ly beautiful and that is coming from one of the worlds biggest beach bums (me).

5.Patagonia

A Hikers Paradise:

Patagonia is not for everyone and that is what makes it unique. It’s for adventure seekers, nature lovers and photographers looking for dramatic landscapes. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, a hiker and a wildlife lover, this destination is for you. Shared between Argentina and Chile, this destination is easily one of the most exciting in Latin America, offering something most countries cannot boast.

6.Namibia

Where else in the world can you see red sand dunes meet a striking blue sea? Only in Namibia. Try finding me a destination that allows you to explore a landscape offering both “life” and “death” in one country.

The life offered in a safari adventure and death explored in the iconic Deadvlei, a white clay plane with those ultra-famous, barren trees. This is not a destination for the impatient or the lazy. Each activity requires hours of driving and careful planning. The effort is absolutely worth it

7.Finland

More than just a Sauna hot spot:

Are you noticing Finland popping up on your feed more than ever lately? That’s because people are starting to notice just  how beautiful and unique this destination is. It’s a winter wonderland offering more than the Northern Lights.

The sauna culture is so hot right now. Visiting in the winter? Book a husky and reindeer sled! Go downhill or cross-country skiing. Sleep in a glass igloo and watch the sky perform.

Visiting in the summer? Prepare for long sunny days where the sun doesn’t set for weeks. Explore Nuuksio, Oulanka, Koli, or Urho Kekkonen National Parks. Swim in the baltic sea while taking in the greenery.

Dam… I wanna go now.

Which of these unique destinations speak to you the most? Have you been to any of these places? Comment below and let us know about your experience!
